Suzan Roth represents developers and investors in acquiring, developing, financing and selling commercial properties, with an emphasis on regional and neighborhood shopping centers. She has participated in the assemblage, development and disposition of numerous retail developments throughout the southeast.
An integral part of Suzan's practice involves lease negotiation and documentation. Suzan manages the leasing of projects involving multiple national and regional anchor tenants, and she has extensive experience in developing form leases for individual client use. She also represents national tenants in negotiation of long term leases and subleases.
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Suzan began her real estate career in a startup property development and management company prior to relocating to Atlanta. In Atlanta, she gained extensive business experience in the underwriting, closing and supervision of a portfolio of tax exempt mortgage loans prior to attending law school. Suzan attended the evening program at Georgia State University College of Law, during which time she worked on leasing and management matters for IRT Property Company, a NYSE-traded real estate investment trust. Suzan was a member of the Georgia State University Law Review and authored "Southern General Insurance Co. v. Holt: Defining 'Duty' in the Duty-to-Settle Doctrine as Applied to Third Party Insurance Claims in Georgia," 8 Ga. St. U.L. Rev. 809 (1992). Suzan is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
