Alex Coons practices in several areas of commercial real estate, such as acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing of real estate assets, including office, retail, multi-family and mixed-use development. Alex principally represents developers of and investors in various commercial real estate transactions and institutional landlords in the negotiation of commercial office leases. Alex also has valuable experience in the areas of condominium law and foreclosure law.
Alex received her B.A. in Psychology, from the University of Florida in 1996 and her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2004. During law school, Alex served as a Research Assistant to Professor Frank Alexander conducting research and drafting material for the fourth edition of Georgia Real Estate Finance and Foreclosure Law (2004). Prior to law school, Alex gained extensive experience while employed as a senior paralegal for a number of years by another prestigious law firm in Atlanta, assisting with the acquisition, disposition and financing of real estate assets in a variety of industries, including retail, office, multi-family, energy, golf and timber. Alex is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia and Atlanta Bar Association.
